|Title||Flowers in a Vase|
|Description||This is a still-life painting attributed to Jean Baptiste Monnoyer (1636 - 1699 AD). Although the style and execution of it bear similarities to other Monnoyer's paintings, the recent examination of it revealed added strips of canvas, one of which contains what appears to be the "original" signature. Thus questions about the authenticity of the signature are now being raised. There is no question, however, that the central portion of the painting is aged and original to the period of 1680.|
