Description |
This figure of the standing Buddha, with upraised arms and a flame-shaped mandorla topped with a jewel behind the upper half of the figure, shows Tang dynasty style and iconography. It exhibits the long, thin head and limbs and narrow waist. The gilding is significantly worn in many places, revealing the brown bronze core beneath.
