Description |
This figure of the Buddha seated in the posture of royal ease shows a strong iconographical relationship to Indian art along with Tang dynasty style and iconography. It exhibits the long, thin head and limbs and narrow waist. The gilding is significantly worn in many places, revealing the brown bronze core beneath. The sculpture has a basically static, frontal composition.
